Street food with a star

You don’t have to dip into your overdraft to enjoy a Michelin Star experience, at least not in Singapore. With more than 35 years’ experience at the stove, chef Chan Hon Meng has seen his modest establishment, Hong Kong Soya Sauce, receive the coveted culinary award.
Here, for less than two euros, you can sample spicy noodles and varied rice dishes, all with a Michelin-rated. Unsurprisingly, given the high price tag of other establishments boasting the accolade, queues for this street food stand often stretch right through Chinatown.
